Creating a 'Default' template in Word

To create a "default" Word template with your preferred settings in the Series 5 or 5mx, open a new word file and in the menus go to Paragraph / Style gallery. Select the "Normal" style and modify it to reflect the desired settings. Now save this file also with  the name "Normal" in the path:

(Series 5) System\Apps\Word\Normal

(Series 5mx) System\Templates\Word\Normal

You may need to save the Normal file in another folder (Documents?) first. Then, if it doesn't already exist, create the folder path shown above and Copy / Paste in the Normal file.

On the 5mx, you should also be able to save it directly as a template from within the Word file using the menus - File / More / Save as template.
