WAPfreaks Setup for Psion Palmtops

To access Wapfreaks services on your Psion, set up:

1. Your modem or mobile phone.

2. WAPfreaks Internet Service Dial up.

3. WAPfreaks profile.

Setting up your modem or mobile phone

1.1 Move to the System screen and Select the Control Panel button on the Toolbar.

1.2 Open the Modems icon to display the modem settings.

1.3 Select on the Current modem line, and Select the modem you are using:
Select 'Generic modem settings' if your type of modem is not displayed.
Select 'Infrared mobile phone' if your phone is not displayed.

1.4 Select OK when you have finished setting up your modem.

Tip: If your mobile phone does not have a built-in modem, you may be able to use a PC Card modem or clip-on modem (if available).

2. To access wapfreaks's Wap services, you must connect to the Internet via an Internet service. You may already use an Internet service for email or web browsing.

Tip: Some WAP services can only be accessed when you are connected using the wapfreaks service. To set up an Internet account the following must be done from the internet settings in your control panel

2.1 The phone number to connect to wapfreaks is 0870 750 0780
The username for your wapfreaks is "wapfreaks"
The password for your wapfreaks is "users".

3. When you have set up the wapfreaks Internet service, and the profile, you will be able to connect to our gateway to access its services.

Tip: A profile contains the details required to access our gateway.

To set up a profile on your Psion.

3.1 The gateway IP address of the Service Provider is "062.169.130.35".
The session type, often referred to as 'connected'
The address of the wapfreaks 'home page' - http://wap.wapfreaks.net

Further Tip: You are now able to connect to the wapfreaks wap services using
your Psion palmtop.
