Problems with SENDING email
Most ISPs will only allow access to their SMTP (outgoing) mail server if you have also used them to connect to the internet. This is to prevent SPAM from being sent from their server. If you are having problems sending mail, check that you are using the correct server for the ISP you connected with.
In the Email application on the ER5 family of machines (Revo, 5mx, 7 & netBook) if you have only one Account (mailbox) configured, make sure it is set as "default". If you have several mailboxes, make sure that one of them is set as "default".
You might also find sending mail more reliable if you use the "Auto send on opening" feature so that mail is sent automatically when you open a mailbox, rather than running a send only mail session. Again just be sure you are using the right SMTP server for the ISP you have connected with.
