SMTP Authentication for Psion “Email” on ER5 devices

A number of ISPs now require “SMTP Authentication” (which the Psion’s Email application doesn’t support) before mail can be sent from their SMTP server.

Marcus von Cube has written a Java application which implements authentication by running a proxy between the Email application and the SMTP server. The necessary files, which can be downloaded from his site at  http://www.mvcsys.de/download , are:

1.  smtpauth-sis.zip

2. epocutil-sis.zip

Additionally, the Psionjvm.sis file from the PsiWin CD must be installed
