Using PsiWin 2.3.2 with a Series 3 machine

PsiWin 2.3.2, as downloaded from Psion's website, is unable to connect to a Series 3 Psion unless a change is made in the registry of the PC.

To connect with 2.3.2, you need to run "Regedit" and look for the string:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PSION\TASKSCHEDULER

and click on it. On the right look for the field EC_EXTRA and click on it twice. You should find the value 0. Now replace
the value "0" by "36dd" and click OK.

You may also find it necessary to set the connection speed in PsiWin to the same as the port speed on the Psion, rather than using "Maximum Attainable" in PsiWin.

Note: This registry tweak is only for 2.3.2 - it is not required in 2.3.3
