To configure the T68 for use with the Psion 5mx/Revo:
1. Select the Connect menu
2. Press Yes.
3. Select Data comm.
4. Press Yes.
5. Select Data accounts
6. Press Yes.
7. Select Add account?
8. Press Yes.
9. Select GPRS data
10. Press Yes.
11. Enter the text PSION
12. Press Yes.
13. In APN enter internet (Note lower case letters)
14. Press Yes.
15. In User id enter web (Note lower case letters)
16. Press Yes.
17. In Password enter web (Note lower case letters)
18. Highlight Save? and press Yes.
19. New GPRS Data account created will be displayed.
20. Press Yes and take a note of what is displayed next to
number 3 - it should say CID=number (e.g. CID=2) take
a note of this number as you will need to enter this
in step 28 of the Psion set up.
21. Press No 4 times.
To use the T68 with the Psion 5MX/Revo you will need to
activate the Infrared port - to do this:
1. Select the Connect menu
2. Press Yes.
3. Select Infrared port
4. Press Yes.
5. Select On.
6. Press Yes.
7. Press No twice - you should now see an icon on the
right hand side of the screen.
To configure the T39 for use with the Psion 5mx/Revo:
1. Press the Right menu button
2. Select Settings
3. Press Yes.
4. Select Data comm.
5. Press Yes.
6. Select Data accounts
7. Press Yes.
8. Select Add account?
9. Press Yes.
10. Select GPRS data
11. Press Yes.
12. Enter the text PSION
13. Press Yes.
14. In APN enter internet (Note lower case letters)
15. Press Yes.
16. In User id enter web (Note lower case letters)
17. Press Yes.
18. In Password enter web (note lower case letters)
19. Highlight Save? and press Yes.
20. New GPRS Data account created will be displayed.
21. Press Yes and take a note of what is displayed next to
number 3 - it should say CID=number (e.g. CID=2) take a
note of this number as you will need to enter this in
step 28 of the Psion set up.
22. Press No 5 times.
To use the T39 with the Psion 5MX/Revo you will need
to activate the Infrared port - to do this:
1. Press the Right menu button
2. Select Extras.
3. Press Yes.
4. Select Infrared port
5. Press Yes.
6. Select On.
7. Press Yes.
8. Press No twice - you should now see an icon on the
right hand side of the screen.
To configure the Nokia 8310 for use with the Psion 5mx/Revo:
1. Press Menu
2. Select Services and press select
3. Select Settings and press select
4. Select Active service settings and press select
5. Select an empty profile slot and select Activate.
6. Select Edit active service settings and press select
7. Select Settings name and enter PSION
8. Select Homepage and ensure this option is blank
9. Select Session mode and set to permanent
10. Select Connection security and ensure is set to Off
11. Select Data bearer and set to GPRS
12. Select GPRS connection and ensure is set to When needed
13. Select GPRS access point and enter the text internet
(Note lower case letters)
14. Select IP address and ensure is blank
15. Select Authentication type and ensure is set to normal
16. Select Login type and set to Manual
17. Select User name and enter the text web
(Note lower case letters)
18. Press Back 3 times.
19. Press Exit.
To use the 8310 with the Psion 5MX/Revo you will need to
activate the Infrared port - to do this:
1. Press Menu
2. Select Infrared
3. Press Select.
To configure the Psion 5mx/Revo for T39, T68:
1. Tap on System.
2. Tap on Control Panel.
3. Tap on Modems
4. Tap on New
5. In Name field enter GPRS
6. Set Speed to 115200 baud
7. Set Connect via to Infrared
8. Set Fax class to Auto
9. Select the Options tab
10. Set Loudspeaker in use to Never
11. Set Volume to Quiet
12. Set Pause time for "," to 4 seconds
13. Select the Initialisation tab
14. In Init. (reset) string enter ATZ
15. Ensure Data init. string and Fax init. string are blank
16. Select the Advanced tab
17. Set Flow control to Hardware (RTS/CTS)
18. Tick the Terminal detect (DSR/DTR) box.
19. Tick the Carrier detect (DCD) box.
20. Set Modem type to Fixed line.
21. Tap OK twice.
22. Tap Internet.
23. Tap New.
24. Tap OK.
25. In Name enter GPRS
26. Set Connection type to Dial-up
27. Remove the tick from the Use "smart" dialling box
28. In Standard dial-up number
enter: *99***CIDnumber# (e.g. *99***2#)
29. Select the Account tab
30. Remove the tick from the Manual login box
31. In Username enter web (note lower case letters)
32. In Password enter web (note lower case letters)
33. In confirm password enter web (note lower case letters)
34. Select the Addresses tab
35. Tick the Get IP address from server box
36. Tick the Get DNS address from server box.
37. Select the Login tab.
38. Ensure all boxes are unticked.
39. Select the Advanced tab
40. Ensure the only box ticked is the Allow plain text
authentication box
41. Tap done
42. Tap OK.
To configure the Psion 5mx/Revo for 8310:
1. Tap on System.
2. Tap on Control Panel.
3. Tap on Modems
4. Tap on New
5. In Name field enter GPRS
6. Set Speed to 115200 baud

Notes:
1. With the Nokia 8310 on “Orange” go in the phone menus to:
Settings -> GPRS modem settings -> Edit active access point -> GPRS access point
…and if this is blank, change it to “orangeinternet” (all one word and lower case)
2. I believe that, in the Psion settings, “Get IP address from server”
should not be checked and the address should be entered as 0.0.0.0
