GPRS set-up for Psion with Nokia 6310i

on the UK's Orange network

 


 

These settings have been tested and found to work on Psion 5mx and Revo
with both Monthly Contract and Pay-as-you-go SIM cards

Phone Settings

 

In the phone menus go to:

 

“Settings > GPRS modem settings > Active access point” and Activate Access Point 1

 

then go to:

 

“Settings > GPRS modem settings > Edit access point” and give it the alias “orangeinternet

 

 

GPRS with an Orange "pay-as-you-go" SIM card

 

Use above settings except:

 

1) The Data string in "Control Panel / Modems" becomes -

        AT+CGDCONT=1,”IP”,”payginternet”

 

2) In the Phone settings immediately above, also give the access point the alias ”payginternet”

 

 

Note:

 

The "Mobile GPRS Update" was installed in the 5mx and Revo [file]
