Configuring a Psion 5mx with Ecosse Net

Control Panel / Internet
Go to Control Panel / Internet and tap "New" or press <Ctrl-N>. In the dialog box which comes up, leave the "Based upon" line at Standard settings and tap "OK" or press <Enter>.

Connection type: Dial-up
Use "smart" dialling [X] checked
Standard dial-up number +44 845 6621034
Account Tab
Manual login [ ] not checked
Username: Scot (generic username for all users)
Password: free (generic password for all users)
Confirm password: free (generic password for all users)
Addresses Tab
Get IP address from server [X] checked
Get DNS address from server [ ] not checked
Primary DNS: 212.1.128.165
Secondary DNS: 212.1.128.156
Login Tab
Use login script [ ] not checked
Advanced Tab
Enable PPP extensions [ ] not checked
Allow plain text authentication [X] checked
Email Settings
To send & receive mail with Ecosse Net, it is necessary to register
and thus create a separate mail Username, mail
Password and email address. This is done at
www.ecosse.net
Then, in the Email application menus go to:
"Tools / Add new account / Email"

Email address: mgmcc@ecosse.net
Set as default account: (optional)
Outgoing Tab
Email (SMTP) server: ecosse.net
Auto send on opening: (optional)
