Dropped Internet connections

When you close "Web" and move to "Email" or close your mailbox in Email, you may find that your connection to the internet has been dropped.

To prevent this, go to "Control Panel / Internet" and in the box "On exit, stay online for..." enter a value which is sufficient to enable you to change applications, or open another mailbox if you have several.

If you are using the 56k IR Travel Modem with a Series 5 and having dropped connection problems, make sure you have the latest version (1.52) of Message Suite installed. With the 5mx or MC218 only, install the Mobile Connectivity Update, a copy of which is on my Series 5(mx) page. [file]
